Founder and Executive Director

I founded Liv RecTherapy because I truly believe in the power of recreation and leisure to transform lives. My goal is to make transformative play accessible to everyone, helping you enhance your quality of life while having fun.

A little about me: I practice what I preach! My absolute favorite ways to unwind and find joy are gardening and baking.

I have a passion for helping individuals discover the joy and benefits of meaningful recreation. I believe that leisure is more than just having fun—it’s an important part of building confidence, developing relationships, managing stress, and improving overall well-being.

A little about me: You’ll often find me baking sourdough, trying new recipes in the kitchen, spending time with my dogs, enjoying game nights with family and friends, or staying up to date on current events.

Tori Butler

Administrative Operations Specialist

I support Liv RecTherapy by coordinating referrals, documentation, scheduling, and communication with families, service coordinators, and therapists. I am highly organized and enjoy creating efficient systems that help the many moving parts of a team work seamlessly together. I’m also a thoughtful listener who values follow-up, follow-through, and finding solutions that move things forward.

A little about me: I enjoy crafting and am currently renovating a dollhouse—or two! I love bringing creative ideas to life through detailed, hands-on projects.

Nelly Quiroz-Perez, MS, CTRS

I learned about Recreational Therapy during my first semester of grad school and absolutely fell in love with the profession. I enjoy using an individual's hobbies and strengths to contribute to their overall well-being and thinking outside the box to adapt activities to make them more inclusive.

A little about me: In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, taking dance classes, watching anime, and cooking.
